There’s been no snow stopping us this week!

Despite Gale Force winds, Dobbie, an extremely handsome 18 year old track horse from Wakefield trecked up to see us at Crow Wood Equestrian this weekend to get his old saddle checked! Previously a 120m track horse, Dobbie now spends more time in his Albion Fabrento (we absolutely LOVE this saddle) at home in Wakefield and recently has started bucking! So, we just wanted to double, triple check this was simply out of joy and not pain! It’s always worth a saddle check, especially a free one! After a few adjustments, Dobbie headed back off home a happy horse, with a happy rider.

The lovely Daisy got treated to a new saddle too and trotted off home happy after her owner, William chose a Saddles Direct Hunter after months of slipping back and forth in his old saddle which kept tipping him forward. And, with the imminent show jumping season soon to commence, it was all the more important they both found the perfect saddle to compete in.

And last but by no means least, after 2 years off and just 3 months back in work, this 7-year old little beauty came to visit us, and after sampling various saddles, “Maggie” got treated to a brand new Passier Grand Gilbert and a free saddle check in a few months’ time. There’s a big horse in the current little lady!

3 happy horses, 3 happy riders, 2 happy saddle consultants, another successful weekend. And when we’d wrapped up on site, it was time to enjoy some downtime back home and then, we got snow!

And then along came “Gareth” but, we haven’t let “Gareth” dampen our parade this week!

We’ve had another busy old week here at Saddles HQ from booking in new saddles, shipping out new saddles, responding to customer queries and valuations, attending a further 14 saddle fittings through to; working on promos for Crow Wood Equestrian livery clients, attending Albion training with the lovely Heather Roberts, team meetings, working on the new website (watch this space), preparing for next week’s saddle consultations, and assisting customers in-store and online.

And, as you may or may not be aware, we also voted for the IDEAL Impala Professional as this week’s featured saddle (we got there in the end, it was a tough call to make this week with so many to choose from). We kick-started our event planning for the Spring/Summer months ahead and our preparations for the sponsorship events we are involved in this year too, including Longton Riding Club and British Riding School.

We really do LOVE our jobs and it’s all because of you, our customer, that makes it all the more worthwhile, whilst at all times, we continue to remain focused on something we are true advocates and passionate about, horses’ health!

So, if you’ve enjoyed reading this blog and would like to continue finding out what’s happening behind the scenes here at Saddles HQ, stay tuned for next week’s round up and if of course in between times we can be of any assistance to you, get in touch! We’d love to hear from you.

Happy Sunday!
