Saddles Direct

Saddles Direct has been created after many years of unsuccessful experiences trying to buy pre owned saddles, from companies professing to be saddle fitters which tell you yours doesn’t fit but funnily enough we have one that just might do!! Which actually doesn’t fit & you have parted with hundreds of pounds, your horse has developed bucking fits & they aren’t interested.

Then there are the companies that have lovely used saddles, you buy at your own risk (fair enough we can all ring a master saddler) maybe they will exchange, sounds great, then you ask the price & its around 80-90% as much to buy used from them as getting a brand new made to measure saddle.

Then we have the online auction site which for the most part is a fantastic marketplace for lots of items, but when you have finished staying up until 1am to try and be the frenzied bidder who wins their dream saddle in the last minute of auction time, you are either outbid (which drives you crazy!!) or it arrives usually as described but doesn’t fit your horse, you face the next 6 weeks facing an almost impossible challenge to find one that fits your horse whilst also trying to resell the reject pile.

Oh, and lastly buying private out of magazines & papers no guarantees as described & no comeback so do so at you own risk.

So I wanted to create a positive informed way of buying a preowned saddle & I hope that is what SADDLES DIRECT can be.
