Kay Humphries is an undoubtedly talented remedial saddle fitter and together with Barrie Swain, at the Saddle Fitting Centre in Walsall, they have created a traditionally made saddle with the wellbeing of the horse foremost. Nick Dolman trained under Barrie Swain and continues to make saddles in this style.
Unlike mass produced saddles which are piece made, these saddles are made by an individual craftsperson who takes pride in their work. This in itself makes for a top quality handmade saddle with carefully selected materials.
As these saddles are not so commonly known, they can be overlooked when trying to sell them secondhand with mass produced, branded saddles!
